Digital Finance

This research area is focused on the accelerated digitalisation of the financial sector. This trend encompasses changes in customer interfaces (e.g. mobile banking), the operations of and between financial market participants, and the generation of new financial products and the emergence of alternative infrastructures based on distributed ledger technology. Therefore, the research area “Digital Finance” deals with a variety of issues such as decentralised finance, the regulatory framework of distributed ledger technologies and crypto assets.
